Boise State is pleased to host visiting professor Iñaki Goirizelaia. He is the former Rector (President) of the University of the Basque Country, and is now the guest of Boise State University Provost, Martin Schimpf. He is in Boise through July, working on different projects that include his inaugural turn as the Eloise Garmendia Bieter chair in Basque Studies. But beyond Basque Studies, he is exploring future potential points of collaboration between the University of the Basque Country and Boise State University (e.g., internships, virtual student learning teams, a dual-degree option, etc.). He is also involved with the local Basque communities, teaching dance workshops. We’re fortunate to have this opportunity to explore future points of contact and shared learning.
